I knew it would be different, but wow!
I had surgery on 10/31. I also had my gall bladder removed and a hernia repair. My recovery sucked. I was in the hospital for 4 days due to extreme nausea. Finally was able to keep a few ounces down and they let me go home.
For the first couple of weeks I regretted surgery big time even as the weight fell off. I still have days where I question my decision. It's hard not to be able to eat what others are eating or what I really am craving. I don't do what I should all the time, but I do try.
I have lost, as of today, 38 pounds since surgery day. The first couple of weeks the weight just fell off like crazy. It's slowed down a lot and I have already had a couple of week long stalls.
I hate protein shakes, but can't tolerate much else in the mornings or else I throw up. I still eat too much sometimes or too quickly and throw up. I don't get in enough water/liquids. It's just all so new.
But, I'm trying each day!
